All Under My Skin

After spending the past few days dealing with a healing tattoo, one question plays on my mind. Is getting inked the only thing thats fashionable forever?

Fashion, as we all know, is fleeting. True, it often comes back round full circle, but as this Summers return of the maxi dress shows, that may well take 40 years. So will my tattoo take just as long to come back in fashion when this seasons over?

For me my tattoos reveal a part of my personality, culture and history that without them may take a while to descover, one shows my sense of humour, the other what I've overcome in my life. I, and my history, is never going to change, so my tattoos will always be relevant.

Whoever you are, whatever tattoos you have, want to have or will never have, I'm sure there are reasons behind it - and thats why to me whatever option you choose, it will always be fashionable. Like a statement piece you know you will own forever, a tattoo shows something or reminds you of something that no other thing can.
